2024-07-16: Acoustic solutions manufacturer Saint-Gobain Ecophon and technology start-up LightYX have signed an exclusive distribution agreement, bringing data-driven technology to construction sites.
2024-06-25: Following a successful pilot phase initiated last year, Ecophon is now fully operating SoundCircularity Reuse in Sweden. Contributing to Ecophon’s circular offer, the reuse initiative aims to reduce the carbon footprint and resource usage of acoustic products by providing an alternative to newly produced acoustic materials.

2024-02-07: Ecophon has achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze for its glass wool products produced in the Nordics, which cover 70% of Ecophon’s sales volumes. Ecophon is one of the first companies to achieve the certification under the new, more rigorous Version 4.0 standards.
2023-12-14: In close collaboration with Saint-Gobain Isover, Ecophon is setting a new industry benchmark for sustainability, introducing its first wave of low-carbon products with an average reduction of -35% in footprint.
2023-12-08: Ecophon has entered into an exclusive agreement to acquire all the shares of Träullit, further completing its portfolio in acoustic ceiling and wall solutions.
2023-11-07: Ecophon now expands its circular offer even further as its Swedish business unit launches a pilot and test market for the reuse of sound absorbers. Ecophon offers to buy back material from existing buildings, for instance in connection with reconstructions, renovations, or tenant customisations.
2022-12-15: SoundCircularity, Ecophon's recycling service for the construction industry, was named Circular Initiative of the Year at the Recycling Gala. The prize was awarded at Berns in Stockholm on November 24, 2022, and goes to innovations, business models or techniques that stimulate circular flows of materials and resources.
2022-11-24: Joining forces with partners The Loop Factory, LINK Arkitektur, DECIBEL by Johanson, LogTrade Technology, and Lund University the aim is to demonstrate a circular value chain and new resource-efficient manufacturing technologies within the construction and demolition industry.
2022-08-30: Ecophon’s acoustic ceiling system Ecophon Master™ Eg wins the ICONIC AWARDS, an internationally respected design award presented by the German Design Council. The award honours holistic projects in the fields of architecture, interior architecture and product design.
