The GHU Paris Psychiatry & Neurosciences recently inaugurated the "Neuro Sainte-Anne" building, after two years of work. This 15,000 m2 facility, spread over 3 floors, offers a space entirely dedicated to neurological diseases such as strokes, brain tumors, and epilepsy. With a hundred beds, six operating rooms, and a heavy imaging platform including two MRIs and a state-of-the-art scanner, this new care, teaching, and research centre meets the highest sustainability standards and cutting-edge energy infrastructure. To meet the demands of such a project, special attention was paid to acoustics.
In the field of health, the quality of the solutions implemented has a crucial influence on the general wellbeing of individuals, whether they are patients or caregivers. In this context, acoustic optimisation is of particular importance, as it directly affects the sound comfort of care spaces. An acoustically healthy environment promotes tranquility and serenity, two essential elements for the recovery of patients and the efficiency of caregivers.
To mitigate noise in the busy corridors, Ecophon Advantage™ A tiles were installed. In the circulation areas of the operating rooms, standard rooms, and offices, Ecophon Hygiene Clinic™ tiles were installed, ensuring high indoor air quality and preventing the distribution of bacteria. The operating rooms, recovery rooms, highly medicalised rooms, and nursing stations benefited from Ecophon Hygiene Protec™ Air tiles. This system, meeting the strictest standards, is particularly suitable for environments where hygiene is paramount.
Neuro Sainte-Anne illustrates excellence in the integration of advanced acoustic solutions, demonstrating the crucial importance of a design attentive to details and focused on comfort in care environments.
