The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) in Klosterneuburg, Austria is a multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to cutting-edge research in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, and life sciences.

In the lobby of one part of the building on campus, a lounge area has been set up where students, lecturers and visitors can linger and socialise. The right room acoustics solution was needed to create a pleasant atmosphere.

In order to maintain the atrium character and daylight, Ecophon Solo™ free-hanging panels were installed across several levels. The interplay of vertical and horizontal suspension of the panels creates a lively effect and extends over several floors so that the installation can be viewed from all angles. In combination with the hanging plants, a harmonious experience for the ear and eye is created.
