Located directly on the river Weser and only a few steps away from the oldest artificial harbour in Germany, today's building was built shortly after the turn of the millennium as part of a large shopping and adventure centre. However, the so-called Haven Höövt-area was never able to meet the economic expectations, so the operator at the time filed for bankruptcy in 2010. After years without use, a new investor was found in Haven Höövt Project Development, who is now converting the area into a city quarter in several construction phases and has already impressively realised the first phase of the project with the revitalisation of the shopping centre.
