Country/city: Switzerland, Chur

Production year: 2024

A new four-storey office concept was developed for Graubündner Kantonalbank in Chur. Two floors have already been completed in the last two years, and another will be finalised this year. At GKB, sustainability is a high priority in all business areas. With this in mind, all products and materials were designed for long-term use.

This is why Ecophon Solo™ Circle XL ceiling panels were chosen. In addition to their excellent acoustic properties, which have a positive effect on the workplace atmosphere for employees, the free-hanging ceiling panels also create a visual highlight in the room. In combination with the ring lights, the design really comes into its own. The ceiling panels are Ecobau certified and can be recycled via the SoundCircularity recycling service. The glass wool products manufactured in the Scandinavian countries have also been awarded the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze label.

The strength lies in the flexibility: thanks to the multi-layered ceiling design, the technical installations are decoupled from the acoustic and lighting levels, which allows for flexible zoning. The meeting booths were designed as modular units that can be dismantled and reassembled at any desired location as required. This means that all elements – workstations, meeting booths, creative zones and retreat areas – can be adapted to new uses without the need for structural measures.
