  • 3rd party verified minimisation of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) releases

Full EPD traceability for most products

For maximum accuracy, credibility and reliability, we produce environmental product declarations (EPDs) for individual products rather than product families. We also make them easily available – access our full EPD list.

What your EPD should tell you

A full EPD for each product gives you a more accurate and traceable report for calculating and proving environmental impacts.

What to expect of a proper EPD

All suppliers produce Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). But they aren’t all equal. Many are produced for product families, instead of individual products. Here are a few of our recommendations for what to expect of a good EPD.

Comparing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)

EPDs provide a wealth of information on a product's environmental impact, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water use, and waste generation. This information can be used to compare the environmental performance of different products and to identify areas for improvement in product design and manufacturing processes.

There's more to sound absorption than just the acoustics

Deciding which sound absorbing product to choose for a building used to be a fairly simple business. Assessing trade-offs between acoustic performance, design and budget were the primary considerations. But now we know that every product in a building has an additional cost for the indoor and outdoor environment. It has become imperative that we look beyond the acoustics and take environmental impacts into account as well.

The WELL Building Standard: certification that keeps sound in mind

People spend more time indoors than ever before, impacting on our physical and mental health due to noise, a lack of natural light, poor air quality and limited exercise. The WELL Building Standard, which aims to improve health and wellbeing in occupants, is evidence that buildings of the future will be designed increasingly for the people that occupy them.
