Ecophon already has some of the lowest emission values on the market and has now reached a new low point for our complete ceiling systems.

Thanks to innovation, low-carbon steel and introduction of biogas in our manufacturing – we are now able to reduce our carbon footprint on a selected range of complete systems, including both tiles and grids.

  • System with a 43% reduction of carbon footprint.1
  • Same sound absorption and technical properties as the standard versions.
  • Tiles available in white 600x600 and 1200x600 mm.
  • Connect grids available in white 3700 mm (T24 main runner) and 1200 and 600 mm (T24 cross tees).

The range will continuously expand with more products.

1 GWP in life-cycle stages A1 to C4, EPD indicators in accordance with EN 15804+A1. Average reduction is compared with 6 standard products.

Simulated system includes only tiles, main runners and cross tees in dimension 600x600 mm [kgCO2eq./m2]. Direct fixing glue, angle trims, clips and hangers are excluded when calculating results.

2 System only include tiles since no grids are used due to other mounting technique.

An EPD provides standardised information about the carbon footprint over the life cycle, covering low-carbon products produced at the Ecophon glass wool production plant in Finland (using locally produced biogas), and the grid production plant in Sweden (using low-carbon steel).

Our new low-carbon offer aims to reduce emissions from purchased materials, in line with our ambition to achieve a 16% reduction in emissions from our value chain by 2030 (scope 3, compared to 2017). So far, we have successfully reduced our value chain emissions by 2%.
