After working 10 years as a teacher I realized what role a good or poor sound environment played to my wellbeing in terms of fatigue and voice problems. That was some 13 years ago when I saw the job advertisement of my current job as an expert of sound in learning environments. I knew right away that this is my kind of job to make others understand its importance.
I was right. I'm still enjoying the feeling that I'm doing an important work; nowadays “teaching” adults and helping them to design better indoor environments in terms of good sound. And when we talk about schools and kindergartens, the meaning of shorter reverberation time, good speech clarity and lower noise level must be explained to them. Moreover we are not only talking about teachers wellbeing. Children have the right to spend their learning time in spaces where they are able to hear every word and where they don't have to suffer from noise.

In my work, I visit many seminars and conferences with a stand or as a speaker. I'm looking forward to meeting you there and having a good conversation of this important matter.
