Corridors are often multi-functional spaces, allowing people to move between different rooms in a building whilst providing social and break-out spaces. These spaces can be the lifeblood of a building, where behaviour can set the tone for the occupants and the atmosphere for the whole building.
Acoustics
Good acoustic comfort here can modify students’ behaviour and support more efficient lessons where students can be calmer, less disruptive and willing to start the lesson sooner. Many teachers like to have a "open door" approach to their classroom during lessons, a quiet corridor is less intrusive and supports this approach.
